Grandpa-boomers, a burden on economies?

Papy-boomers are the generation born after the Second World War, and they have now reached retirement age or almost. Never before in France and in Western countries has an age group represented such a large share of the population and exerted financial pressure on their economies, particularly with regard to the costs involved (pension and health systems). This generation, often considered privileged, has monopolised financial and non-financial wealth, leaving the next generations with an unequal society in crisis and a planet in climatic distress. Did the baby boomers ruin the prosperous world they inherited? Have they profited lavishly at the expense of their children? How do they cope with the financial challenges caused by their ageing? And above all, are they capable of adapting to new societal challenges?
