Bio
Yann LeCun Chief AI Scientist at Meta and Professor of Computer Science and Data Science at New York University. After a PhD from Sorbonne Université, he joined AT&T Bell Labs in 1988, and AT&T Labs-Research. He joined NYU as a professor in 2003, where he founded the NYU Center for Data Science in 2011. In 2013, he joined Facebook/Meta and founded the Fundamental AI Research lab while remaining a professor at NYU. His research has focused on Ai and Machine Learning. He is the recipient of the 2018 ACM Turing Award (with G. Hinton and Y. Bengio), a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, and the French Académie des Sciences.
