Bio
Born in Tehran in 1977, Abnousse Shalmani moved to Paris with her family in 1985. After studying History and Modern Literature, she went into journalism, then film production and direction, before returning in 2014 to her first passion, literature, with the publication of her first book Khomeiny, Sade et moi (Grasset), followed by Les exilés meurent aussi d'amour (2018), then Eloge du métèque (2019), alternating novels, stories and essays. Since then, she has pursued a parallel career as a writer and columnist for the print and broadcast media (L'Express, I24News, LCI), with a particular interest in identity and international issues.
