Sandra DETZER

Bio

Dr. Sandra Detzer, former Chairwoman of the Green Party in the region of Baden-Württemberg, is currently serving as spokesperson for the Green Party at the Economic Committee of the Lower House of German Parliament. She is also a deputy member of the Financial Committee and the Budget Committee of the Lower House and serves as head of the Green Party’s group for the region of Baden-Württemberg in the Lower House. She currently chairs the Economic Councel of the Green Party in the Lower House and represents the constituency of Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart in the Lower House. She is also Vice-Chairwoman of the French-German parliamentary group in the Lower House. Before being elected MP in the general elections in 2021, Ms. Detzer, as party-head since 2016, was a key member of the Ruling Coalition Committee in the State of Baden-Württemberg. Earlier she served as economic and financial advisor of the green parliamentary group in Baden-Württemberg (2011-2016). Ms. Detzer holds an MBA in political science, economics and linguistics from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. She later earned a PhD in political science from the University of Heidelberg. Sandra was born on 21st of April 1980 in Munich, where she went to school and entered university.
