Bio
Pauline Rossi is Professor of Economics at the Ecole Polytechnique - CREST and affiliated researcher at CEPR. She graduated from HEC Paris and defended her doctoral thesis in economics at the Paris School of Economics. Before joining Ecole Polytechnique, she was a professor at the University of Amsterdam and a visiting professor at Yale University. Her research focuses on development economics and family economics. Her articles have been published in leading scientific journals such as Review of Economic Studies, American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, or Journal of Development Economics. In 2021, she was awarded a European Union Research Grant (ERC Starting Grant) to study how social interactions, via peer effects and matching mechanisms, shape population dynamics. Nominated for the 2023 edition of the Prix du Meilleur Jeune Economiste (PMJE).
