Bio
After graduating from the Institut National Agronomique d'Alger in 1992, specialising in field crops, he joined the family farm in the semi-arid region of Zaghouan in Tunisia, where he has been growing cereals and raising livestock for 30 years. From 2004 to 2011, he was Chairman of the Tunisian Cattle Breeders' Federation, then in 2011 founder of the first independent farming union, Synagri. Since 2019, he has been Chairman of APAD, the Association for Sustainable Agriculture, and a founder member of the 4 for 1000 initiative to combat soil degradation and climate change.
