Bio

After graduating from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris, Jean-Philippe began his career in 1983 working in the aluminum sector in the Research & Development division of the Pechiney Group. Over the course of several years, he held operational, commercial, and managerial positions in France and abroad. Starting in 2003, he was in charge of the Group's upstream activities becoming, in 2008, President of the Europe, Middle East and Africa zone of the Rio Tinto Alcan Group following its acquisition of Pechiney. In 2012, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Sofiprotéol. Under his leadership, the Group began its transformation, committed to build an leading industrial and financial group that is a reference among the food industry leaders. Spearheading the development of the French vegetable oil and protein industry in both France and abroad, the Group was renamed Avril in 2015. Over the last 10 years, Jean-Philippe has sparked a new dynamic. Today, this is reflected in the reaffirmation of the Group’s model, through its purpose, Serving the Earth, and its strategic ambition: becoming the leader in in plant-based solutions for the agricultural, food, and environmental transitions.
