Accelerating sustainable development
Overview
Encouraging innovation in renewable energy, agriculture, health, and technology can help find new solutions to reach the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. The magnitude of the changes and investments to be undertaken requires increased collaboration between governments, businesses, non-governmental organizations and civil society. Thus, accelerating sustainable development is a complex challenge that requires the commitment, awareness and collaboration of all stakeholders to create a more just and prosperous future. As such, how can we ensure acceleration to achieve international consistency? How can we achieve the acceleration that is needed in the face of urgency, without compromising social obligations and sustaining economic stability? What financing levers should be activated? Finally, should this acceleration be done at the same pace for all? Should international tools be improved for better North/South solidarity?
