CSR, from mirage to reality
Overview
The need for new growth that is compatible with environmental and societal considerations is well known today. The dramatic effects of climate change, loss of biodiversity and, in general, the damage done to living organisms, are permeating society with the awareness they have generated and the changes they impose. Faced with the societal transition necessary for sustainable growth, companies are fulfilling new functions that integrate environmental and social impact into their activities.
This is how their Social and Environmental Responsibility is conceived. This is a fundamental change that leads to the definition of the new social contract that companies must propose. How can standards be set in areas that go beyond the purely economic logic? How can we identify the means to modify practices? How can we reconcile economic imperatives and the common good?
