Making the world a desirable place

The acceleration of economic, social and political crises has made our horizon much more uncertain. How can we find answers to these uncertainties and map out the paths to a desirable future? To answer this question, this session will address the following questions in particular:
Has the succession of crises made people overly pessimistic? While the French are relatively satisfied with their private lives, their level of pessimism about their future lives is much higher because of their low level of trust in their institutions and in each other. What are the levers available to companies, public policies and civil society to restore confidence?
Young people, working people, retirees, is there an opposition between generations on the vision of the future and the conception of a desirable future? What does this divide tell us about the economic and cultural aspirations and expectations of different generations?
What are the issues on which society as a whole can mobilise? Will the environment be the new common cause or a source of conflict?
