Can we or do we want to change?
Overview
Questioning what we know in order to change. This is what the reality of climate change tells us, and what the chain of financial, economic and health crises calls for. Change to change the foundations of our society. But how? Change a little, change everything? The question of changing our behaviour and our lifestyles is a key issue in the ecological transition. Technical progress alone will not make it possible to achieve the objectives set. The question then arises as to whether we can or want to change.
Individual change requires conscious effort. Habits and thought patterns are often deeply rooted, making it difficult to change behaviour. In addition, certain situations and physical or financial barriers can make change almost impossible. Beyond our ability to change, is the awareness of individuals sufficient to overcome the fear of the unknown that change brings? Is there hope between will and power?
