Executive Vice President - Humanis
Gilles de Margerie has been Executive Vice President of Humanis since 2013, in charge of Finance, Savings products, and the group’s International activities. Humanis is one of France’s three main social protection groups, managing mandatory (Agric-Arrco) and voluntary retirement schemes, health and provident insurance products, as well as savings products. From 2011 to 2013, he was CEO and then Senior Partner at Ricol Lasteyrie, a financial advisory house. From 2002 to 2011, he was with Crédit Agricole, as CFO (2002-2007), and then head of various business units (private banking, private equity, real estate). Prior to that, Gilles was an investment banker at Banque Indosuez, then Crédit Agricole Indosuez (1994-1997), before becoming its CFO (1998-2001). He had previously been with Lazard and Rothschild, and an advisor to the Minister of Industry and to Prime Minister Michel Rocard. In 2000, Gilles created En temps reel, a think tank focusing on economic policy issues (entempsreel.com), and, in 2011, the Fondation pour les sciences sociales, a foundation that grants research scholarships (fondation-sciences-sociales.org).
