The multipolarization of capital flows and the global crisis have disrupted the geography of international relations. Nation-states remain major players, but new ones have emerged and old Europe might have to make do with playing second fiddle. Who are the new investor states? Is Africa anything but the scene of power struggles? More importantly, geopolitical boundaries have shifted: the investment scene is global and civil society has caught up. What governance for these new frontiers? Does the future of investment lie in the hands of citizen-players?
