Senior Europe Correspondent - The Hindu

Vaiju Naravane is the The Hindu’s Senior Europe Correspondent based in Paris since 1996. Also a name in the audiovisual media, she features regularly in international television and radio programmes of Kiosque –TV5, C dans l’air- France 5, JT – iTELE, Arte, France 2, France 3, LCP, LCI, and BBC World Service Radio.

A lecturer, she has taught at the Sciences Po Paris School of Journalism. To the many hats she wears, Navarane adds Foreign Fiction Editor with the French publishing house Albin Michel, where she has published authors like Vikram Seth, Manil Suri, Alan Hollinghurst, Esther Freud, Daniel Alarcon, Anita Nair and Anita Brookner, among others.

In April 2014 President Francois Hollande elevated Ms Naravane to the rank of Chevalier de la légion d’honneur.
