Renato G. Flôres Jr. has an extensive career in Brazilian and European (Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal and the UK) centres and universities. At present, he is mainly involved in questions at the intersection of international public law, defence and international political economy, in a geostrategic context. He is the author of more than 50 papers in refereed journals and of several books, among them The Regional Integrations Manual: Quantitative and Qualitative Methods (co-editor; Routledge, 2013) and the recent The World Corona Changed: US, China and Middle Powers in the New International Order (Routledge, 2022). He received the Golden Medal, Friend of Canada decoration (from the Right Honourable Governor General David Johnston).
