Bio
Laurence Devillers is a full professor in Artificial Intelligence & Ethics at the Sorbonne University and at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS-LISN, Paris-Saclay). She is in charge of the research team "Affective and social dimension in oral interaction" and of the AI HUMAAINE chair: HUman-MAchine Affective Interaction & Ethics. She is a member of the GPAI (Global Partnership on AI) on the Future of Work, and of the CNPEN (National Pilot Committee for Digital Ethics). She is also a member of AFNOR and JTC21/CEN-CENELEC and responsible for the AHG6 on AI-enhanced nudging. Laurence Devillers' research interests include emotion detection in audio, nudge strategies, conversational agents and social robots. She has participated in several national and European projects on social and emotional interactions between humans and robots. She is also president of the Blaise Pascal Foundation on mediation in mathematics and computer science. Her books: "Des robots et des hommes" (Plon 2017), "Les robots émotionnels" (L'observatoire, 2020), "Vague IA à l'Elysée" (2022).
