Bio
Eric Pinon is Honorary Chairman of the AFG after having chaired the association for two consecutive terms from 2017 to 2022. He remains in charge of the Financial Education Mission, a long-term challenge for AFG. Senior Advisor of Financière de l'Echiquier (LFDE) since November 2017, he started his career in 1978 with stockbroker Michel Puget, where he became a proxy in 1985. He was one of the managers of this company until the merger with the Barclays group at the end of 1989. In 1989, he created Europe Egide Finance, which in 1990 became one of the first management companies approved by the COB. He was vice-chairman of the AFG from 1997 to 2003 and from 2015 to 2017 and at the same time chaired the Commission des sociétés de gestion entrepreneuriales. He managed Europe Egide Finance until its sale in 2003 to Banque KBL France (Krediet Bank group), then became a member of the Management Board of KBL France from 2003 to 2004 and a member of the Supervisory Board in 2005. He was Managing Partner of Acer Finance from 2006 to 2017. He is a member of the AMF's Management and Institutional Investors advisory commission. He holds a master's degree in management from the Sorbonne - Paris I.
