Biographie
Laurence Parisot holds a Degree in Public Law, a Master from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (“SciencesPo”) and a Master in Political Science. She started her career at the Center of political researches of Sciences Po, before joining the Louis Harris Poll Institute in 1985 and being appointed CEO as soon as 1986. In 1990, she was appointed CEO of Ifop and took a stake in the company while it was facing economic uncertainties at that time. During the two following decades, she made Ifop thrive, especially by opening new offices in Toronto, Buenos Aires and Shanghai, and concurrently became the majority shareholder of Ifop. She sold her stake in Ifop in 2016 to the fund Norbert Dentressangle, and joined Citi in 2018 as Chairwoman France. Laurence Parisot is well-known thanks to her former position as Head of Medef (French business confederation), completing two mandates from 2005 to 2013. She was also member of the French Economic, Social and Environmental Council. In addition, she hosted a radio program on Europe 1 from 2013 to 2015. Laurence Parisot joined the Board of Directors of several important French companies: Pathé, Eurodisney, Havas, Coface, Michelin and BNP Paribas. She is currently member of the Board of Directors of EDF, Fives and Foxintelligence, as well as of the Fondation National des Sciences Politiques (FNSP – Sciences Po). Laurence is a member of the Paris Bar.
