What Energy to Power our Future ?

If we want to achieve the 2015 Paris Agreement goals, designed to limit the increase in the planet’s temperature to less than 2 degrees (Celsius), we need to drastically improve our energy efficiency and further diversify the supply structure, fostering energies that are renewable and do not emit greenhouse gases. – Are there available resources accessible in economic and political terms?

– What future is there for nuclear fission energy?

– Can we hope for technological breakthroughs (nuclear fusion, mobility, digitisation)?

– What opposing forces will the desired developments come up against?

– What forms of governance should be preferred (global, national, local)?

– What principles should be adopted for energy policies and taxation?

– What dynamic in terms of changing economic and social costs can we expect?
