Philippe Trainar, currently Professor of Insurance at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, is a renowned expert in the field of insurance and reinsurance. He is also Director of the SCOR Foundation for Science and sits on the boards of several leading institutions, including the SCOR Foundation for Science, Toulouse School of Economics and Humensis. He also plays a key role as a member of the Scientific Committee of the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Régulation and of the Scientific Council of the Fondation Maurice Allais. His rich professional background includes high-level positions such as Senior Advisor to the CEO of SCOR, Chief Risk Officer and Chief Economist, making him a major player in the insurance industry. His previous experience includes key roles at the Fédération Française des Sociétés d'Assurance, as well as positions with the French government and the French Embassy in Germany. He has also held academic positions, teaching at ENA, École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, Paris-Dauphine, École Nationale d'Assurance, and IEP Paris. Philippe Trainar is a graduate of ENA. His recent research has focused on topics such as the remuneration of diversifiable risk, the evolution of the reinsurance cycle and the links between reinsurance, natural catastrophes and climate change.
