Bio
Mattias Landgren is Senior Advisor to the Secretary-General of the International Transport Forum at the OECD. He also serves as Special Envoy to the Secretary-General for reconstruction of Ukraine. Prior to taking up his role at ITF, Mattias served as State Secretary in different ministries in the Swedish government. From 2021-22, he was State Secretary to the Minister for Housing and Deputy Minister for Employment. From 2019-20, he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Infrastructure and from 2016-19 in the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation. He also served as CEO and Chief Legal Officer of the Legal Bureau of the Swedish Trade Union Confederation in 2020-21. Other previous positions include Political Adviser to the Prime Minister of Sweden 2014-16 and chief lawyer to various Swedish trade unions. Mattias holds a Master of Laws degree from Uppsala University, and lectured at Stockholm University. The International Transport Forum at the OECD is an intergovernmental organisation with 66 member countries. It acts as a think tank for transport policy and organises the Annual Summit of transport ministers. ITF is the only global body that covers all transport modes. The ITF is administratively integrated with the OECD, yet politically autonomous.
