Bio
Jennifer Baarn is the Head of Private Sector Partnerships at the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA). During her time at AGRA she also was the interim Managing Director of the Africa Food Systems Forum. She is an experienced professional in the development and facilitation of international Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), with a particular focus on agriculture. Prior to joining AGRA, she was the Deputy CEO of the Southern Agriculture Growth Corridor (SAGCOT) Centre Ltd in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where she was responsible for the operations and also managed the 100 SAGCOT Partners who committed more than USD 1 billion of investments in Tanzania. Baarn was also a Global Leadership Fellow and Associate Director at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Geneva, Switzerland, where she helped develop the WEF’s New Vision for Agriculture initiative. She spent a number of years in financial services at Rabobank International, identifying growth opportunities in food and agribusiness and developing key insights into the agricultural sector worldwide. Jennifer holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Erasmus University, Rotterdam School of Management, The Netherlands.
