In 2007, Hélène Rey became a professor of economics at the London Business School. She has received numerous honours, including the Order of the British Empire for her services in economics. She is a Fellow of the British Academy, the Econometric Society, the European Economic Association and foreign member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, correspondent of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences. Prior to that, she was a professor of economics and international affairs at Princeton University from 2000 to 2007. She also taught at the London School of Economics from 1997 to 2000. She has held various positions of responsibility in economic and financial policy as a member of the Council for Economic Analysis, the Economic Commission of the Nation and the College of the Supervisory Authority for Prudential Control and Resolution. She is Vice-President of the CEPR, member of the High Council for Financial Stability and member of the External Council to the Managing Director of the IMF. She holds a PhD in economics from the London School of Economics and the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris. She also holds a degree in Economic Systems Engineering from Stanford University and ENSAE. Recent publications include work on US monetary policy, the Global Financial Cycle and analyses of the international monetary and financial system. She is a member of the Group of Thirty and the Bellagio Group. She was elected President of the European Economic Association.
