Françoise Benhamou is President of the Cercle des économistes. She is Professor Emeritus of Economics at Sorbonne Paris Nord University, teaches at Sciences po Paris and various other French and foreign universities and institutions, and plays a key role in a number of cultural and academic institutions. She chairs Radio France's Ethics Committee and is Vice-President of ARTE's Program Advisory Committee. She is also a member of several scientific committees and councils, including those of the Fondation Jean Jaurès, the CNIL, ARCOM, Terra Nova, the Bibliothèque nationale de France, and various cultural programs, such as the DEMOS program at the Philharmonie de Paris. Her professional background includes significant roles such as her former membership of the Collège de l'ARCEP, her participation on the Board of Directors of the Musée du Louvre, as well as academic and research positions. Françoise Benhamou holds two agrégations, in economics and social sciences. Her main publications (academic articles, reports, books) cover subjects such as the challenges of intellectual property in the digital context, financing through donations and patronage, and cultural markets. Françoise Benhamou is a renowned economist who plays an essential role in promoting economic and cultural reflection in France.
