Bio
Edouard Vieillefond is an engineer and a graduate of École Polytechnique, the National Higher School of Aeronautics and Space (Sup’Aéro), and holds a postgraduate degree (DEA) in industrial economics. He began his career holding various positions within the Directorate General of the Treasury. From 2006 to 2009, he served as Director of Shareholdings in charge of energy sector companies at the French State Shareholding Agency (Agence des Participations de l’État – APE). He then became Deputy Secretary General, Director of Regulation and International Affairs at the AMF (French Financial Markets Authority) from 2009 to 2013. In 2014, he joined the Covéa Group, where he held several positions, including Chief Executive Officer of GMF from 2018 to 2020. Since April 2021, he has headed his own consulting firm, Praesential. On July 1, 2023, Edouard Vieillefond was appointed Chief Executive Officer of CCR by the President of the Republic, upon recommendation of the Board of Directors (decree dated June 16, 2023). For the previous nine months, he had been serving as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of CCR.
