Bio

Christian Schmidt de La Brélie has spent his entire career in the insurance world, starting with the AXA group and then the Bayard provident group, before joining the AG2R group. In 2005, he became the CEO of the D&O group. In 2012, following the merger of the Mornay and D&O groups, he became head of the new KLESIA group, which to date has a turnover of 12 billion euros, covers 3 million people in insurance and 300,000 companies. He also sits on the management committees of AGIRC-ARRCO and CTIP. Personally involved in social and societal issues, he is notably vice-chairman Institut de l’Entreprise and member of the board of directors of the ICM (Brain Institute). Recently, KLESIA has made a particular commitment to the inclusion of handicap people in economic life. In 2013, Christian Schmidt de La Brélie was named “Insurer of the Year” by the Insurance Trophies. He is a Knight of the Legion of Honor and of the National Order of Merit.
