Bio

Charles Gorintin is the co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of Alan. Charles Gorintin holds a master’s degree in mathematics and computer science from Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, a master’s degree in Machine Learning from ENS Paris-Saclay, and a Master of Financial Engineering from UC Berkeley - Haas School of Business. Prior to co-founding Alan with Jean-Charles Samuelian-Werve, Charles Gorintin was a data science leader at fast-growing social networks Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, where he worked on fighting fake accounts, on growth, and on social psychology. Founded in 2016, Alan aims to serve as the premier health and wellness partner for Europeans. With over 550,000 members across Europe (including France, Belgium, and Spain), the company offers supplementary health insurance that enhances members' lives with faster reimbursements, transparent offerings, and personalized health benefits such as preventive care, virtual clinics, and mental well-being support. Alan, the first new health insurance provider approved by the Banque de France and the ACPR since 1986, has raised over €500 million from international investors. Valued at €2.7 billion, the company employs more than 500 people across Europe, with the majority based in France. Alan is also a member of the prestigious Next40. Since 2023, Charles Gorintin is also co-founding advisor of Mistral AI.
