THE BIGGEST CONVERSATION
WITH 18-30 YEAR OLDS IN FRANCE
Six months to understand the issues
and develop new ideas for youth

For over 10 years, Le Cercle des économistes has been committed to giving a voice to young people. In 2023, it launched its Youth(s) programme with one ambition: to involve all young people aged 18 to 30 in major economic and social debates, through a major survey involving thousands of young people from all over France.

Over a two-month period, more than 100,000 of them took part in six conversations on social networks and instant messaging, focusing on key themes for their future: equal opportunities, civic action and well-being.

Each year, 150 young people from all walks of life are selected to bring their solutions to economic, political and social decision-makers on issues that concern them. Through a process of co-construction and accompanied by experts from the academic, economic and voluntary sectors, they will analyse the results of the Youth(s) survey and reflect on the major challenges facing their generation at the Rencontres Economiques d’Aix-en-Provence on 3, 4 and 5 July 2025.

To mark the 25th anniversary of the event, the Cercle des économistes will be creating a new space for dialogue and reflection: the Agora Jeunesse(s). The programme for this new space will be devised in collaboration with 150 young people aged 18 to 30, selected from respondents to the conversations and from an ecosystem of partner structures.

1 project, 3 steps

NOVEMBRE 2024 –  FEBRUARY 2025

Building on the success of its first two editions, the Cercle des économistes has launched its third Youth(s) conversational survey of 18-30 year-olds, involving over 100,000 young people. The aim of this initiative is to offer young people a unique and unprecedented forum for expressing their views on the major changes taking place in the world, and to enable them to share their ideas and concerns.

For six weeks, in collaboration with JAM (by June Marketing), Le Cercle des économistes conducted a wide-ranging conversation with young people on three major themes: equal opportunities, civic action and well-being.

MARCH – APRIL 2025

Based on the results of the survey, the members of the Youth(s) project will be tasked with guiding the editorial content and programming of the Youth(s) Agora sessions for the next Rencontres Économiques d’Aix-en-Provence.

This work will take place over the course of some fifteen sessions, each supervised by members of the Cercle des économistes and the editorial team, in the spring of 2025, in the heart of the capital.

3-4-5 JULY 2025

Located at the heart of the forum, the Agora Jeunesse(s) will be the place for youth debates.

A delegation of 150 young people will be invited to bring the voices of 18-30 year-olds to the Rencontres d’Aix-en-Provence, with full transport, accommodation and catering, as well as a programme specially designed for them.

They will have dedicated access to all three days of the event, with privileged meetings with decision-makers from the economic, political and academic worlds, a cultural and festive programme, as well as exceptional opportunities for meetings and networking.
