Inaugurale – Why bridge our worlds?
Overview
The world, societies, generations are in ruptures, more precisely, war has reclaimed its rights, the Franco-German couple is floundering, social tensions are exacerbating, taking on a very particular violence in France, the yellow vests, inner city youth, farmers…. In short, never in half a century have multiple fractures appeared so clearly. Above all, the world – and each and every one of us – is facing three transitions: climate, digital and ageing, for which we are poorly equipped in scientific, social and financial terms.
Faced with these major divergences, we urgently need to bridge worlds. We must work relentlessly to create the conditions for dialogue between countries through diplomacy and international cooperation, as well as pursuing economic and commercial integration between countries. Thickening the mesh of our shared collective fabric to link social groups together is also essential. So, how do we connect worlds?
