Bio


Founder and partner of La Garanderie Avocats, specialising in employment law and the social and societal implications of corporate activities.
 
First woman elected President of the Paris Bar.
 
Dominique de la Garanderie was a director of Renault from 2003 to 2018 and a director of Holcim Western Europe from 2008 to 2011.
 
She sits on a number of ethics committees and was Chairman of the Ethics Committee of Le Monde Group from 2018 to 2023.
 
Dominique de la Garanderie was involved in amending the texts concerning directors in the OECD guidelines and on the MEDEF Ethics Committee.
 
She was also appointed a member of the AFEP-MEDEF High Committee on Corporate Governance during its first term of office.
 
Since 2021, she has been a member of the "Security Ethics" panel of the French Human Rights Ombudsman, which is responsible for ensuring compliance with the rules of good conduct by security forces in the context of the institution's activities.
 
She is a lecturer at ESSEC in the "Women on board" course.
 
She is a former Dean of Economics at the Ecole Nationale de la Magistrature.
 
Dominique de la Garanderie speaks at numerous conferences and symposia, writes articles and contributes to collective works in various areas of her professional activity, including CSR, business ethics, social compliance, CSRD and Vigilance.
 
La Garanderie is the author of "La longue marche" on companies and CSR (2008).
