Frédéric Faroche has been Chairman of GazelEnergie since March 2024. GazelEnergie is an independent electricity producer and supplier, and a subsidiary of EPH, Europe's seventh-largest energy company. His mission is to manage the exit from coal and accelerate the development of the group's activities in France. Over the course of his career, he has held various positions in the energy sector and has extensive international experience. He began his career operating heating and cooling networks for the Dalkia Group in the Paris region and then supported the Group's expansion in Central Europe. From 1999 to 2013, within the Group, he held various roles as subsidiary manager and operations manager in the Czech Republic, Lithuania, and Poland. In 2013, he was appointed Country Director for Bulgaria (Water, Energy) within the Veolia Environnement Group. He then became Country Director for Poland (Energy, Water, Waste) in 2018. Throughout his career, he has executed several coal-to-gas and biomass conversions using large-scale cogeneration plants. He also established a multi-utility trading subsidiary capable of operating directly on various markets (electricity, gas, coal, biomass, etc.). Frédéric Faroche is a graduate of Hautes Etudes Industrielles in Lille and IAE in Aix-en-Provence.
