Jean Hornain, started his career in 1988 in the Corporate Finance Department of ScotiaMcLeod Inc. (investment banking) in London. He spent 24 years in the Amaury Group serving first as Director of the TV Department at Amaury Sport Organisation (Tour de France, Dakar etc.) and Managing Director of Sierra Production (TV production) from 1992 to 1997. In 1998 he founded the TV sports channel L’Equipe, and then the website L’Equipe.fr in 2000. Jean was then CEO of Le Parisien (daily newspapers) for more than 10 years until 2016. He was nominated CEO of EcoEmballages in April 2016 and he just finalized the merger of Eco-Emballages (packaging) and Ecofolio (paper) to form Citeo and further develop eco-design, reuse and recycling in France, in order to adapt our production, distribution and consumption to the protection of our planet, its resources, biodiversity and the climate. Jean holds an MBA from HEC Paris and is a former volley-ball player with the French National team.
