Jong-Wha LEE

Bio

Jong-Wha Lee was previously Chief Economist and Director General of Economics and Research Department at the Asian Development Bank and an economist at the International Monetary Fund. He has served as a senior adviser for international economic affairs to the former President of South Korea and G20 sherpa. He has also served as president of both the Korea Economic Association and the Korea International Economic Association. He has taught at Australian National University, Columbia University, Harvard University and Peking University. He obtained his Ph.D. and Master’s degree in economics from Harvard University. Lee has made significant contributions to the field of economics, with particular focus on human capital, growth, international finance, and economic integration. He has been honored with numerous awards, including Korean National Academy of Sciences Award
