Mary-Françoise Renard is Professor Emeritus at the University of Clermont Auvergne. She holds a doctorate in development economics, a state doctorate in economics and an agrégation des Universités. She is a specialist in development economics, international economics and the economics of China. She was Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management at Clermont Auvergne University and visiting professor at Wuhan University, University of International Business and Economics in Beijing; she is currently visiting professor at Beijing International Studies University.
