Jean Paul Pollin, agrégé of the faculties of law and economics, is Professor Emeritus at the University of Orléans. Throughout his career, he has held a number of scientific and teaching posts. In particular, he has been President of the Association Française de Science Economique, Editor-in-Chief of the journal Economie et Prévision, Chairman of the Scientific Board of the Revue Economique, and remains a member of the editorial boards of several French and foreign journals. He has headed the Faculty of Law, Economics and Management, the Economics Laboratory and the Doctoral School of Human and Social Sciences at his university. His field of expertise covers macroeconomics and monetary and financial economics, to which he has devoted most of his research work. His recent publications include: "The role of the financial sector in the ecological transition", "Monetary policies in the grip of fiscal dominance", "The origins of monetary policy theory".
