Does fashion create links?
Overview
The very principle of fashion is to create links. Fashion creates cultural links during the presentation of a collection, economic links with the various links in the value chain, and human links, with the feeling of belonging to a community.
However, fashion is subject to many controversies, often amplified by the industry’s media resonance. It is regularly criticized, and carries with it several tensions, relating to its relationship with the public, the globalization of its value chains, its economic weight and its environmental impact.
