In 2010, 137 speakers of 27 different nationalities came to Aix-en-Provence to debate on the theme “The Search for a New Growth”. These 10 th Rencontres économiques d’Aix-en-Provence were opened by an “international artist and businessman”, Luc Besson (Europacorp) , and brought together Pascal Lamy (WTO), Rakesh Mohan (former Deputy Governor of the Reserve bank of india), Mario Monti (Université Bocconi), Samuel Pinheiro Guimaraes (Secretary of State for Strategic Affairs, Brésil), Nouriel Roubini (Stern School of Business, New York University) and Jean-Claude Trichet (Président de la Banque centrale européenne).
