Bio


Jézabel Couppey-Soubeyran is a lecturer at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She teaches monetary and financial economics and directs a post-graduate course dedicated to banking risk control. Her work focuses on banks, financial regulation, monetary, micro- and macro- prudential policies, financing of the economy and ecological transition. She has served as a scientific advisor to the Encyclopaedia Universalis, the Conseil d'Analyse Economique, and the CEPII, and since September 2020 to the Veblen Institute. Author of several books on academic and general public economics, she has notably published L'économie pour toutes with Marianne Rubinstein (Ed. La Découverte, May 2014, Prix Lycéen Lire l'économie 2014), Blablabanque. Le Discours de l'inaction (Ed. Michalon, Sept. 2015), Parlons banque en 30 questions with Christophe Nijdam (Ed. La Documentation française, 2nd edition 2018) and a children's comic book "L'économie en BD" illustrated by Auriane Bui (Ed. Casterman, August 2020). She co-edits each year L'économie mondiale (Ed. La Découverte & CEPII) and also writes a monthly column in Le Monde.
