Olivier GARNIER

Bio

Olivier Garnier is Managing Director of the Banque de France, where he supervises statistics, economic and monetary studies, and international relations. He is notably a member of the Eurosystem's Monetary Policy Committee and of various international committees (BIS, OECD, etc.). Before joining the Banque de France in 2017, he held various positions at the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, the US Federal Reserve and within the Société Générale Group. In addition, since June 2021, he has been President of the French Economic Science Association (AFSE). He was a member of the Economic Analysis Council from 2002 to 2012. He is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique, the E.N.S.A.E, and the University of Paris-Dauphine.
