A chemical engineer, Jean-Philippe began his career in 1983 in the aluminum sector, within the Research and Development division of the Pechiney group. Over the years, he has held operational, commercial or development management positions in France and internationally. He was notably plant manager in Delphi (Greece), then responsible for development and management control in Sydney (Australia). In 2003, he headed upstream activities of the Group and, in 2008, became President of the Europe, Middle East and Africa zone of the Rio Tinto Alcan group, after its acquisition of Pechiney.
In 2012, he joined Sofiprotéol (now Avril) as Managing Director, succeeding Philippe Tillous-Borde. Since his arrival at the head of the group, Jean-Philippe Puig has worked to transform a set of small and medium-sized enterprises into an international group, which has become the fourth largest French agri-food group, with 7,600 employees worldwide and a presence in 19 country.
Born January 18, 1961, Jean-Philippe Puig graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie in Paris.
