Biographie
Born in 1945, Pierre Veltz is professor emeritus at Ecole des Ponts (Paris) and Sciences Po (Paris). He holds an engineering degree (Ecole Polytechnique Paris and Ecole des Ponts) and a PhD in social sciences (EHESS). After beginning his career as an urban planner, he founded and headed LATTS an interdisciplinary research group, at the crossroads of technical and sociological research. He headed Ecole des Ponts (1999-2005) and was in charge of Paris-Saclay, a large scientific and urban project, from 2009 to 2015. In 2017, he was awarded the French “Grand Prix de l’Urbanisme”.
