Guillaume HOUZE

Guillaume Houzé was born in Paris on 22 June 1981.
Guillaume Houzé is the current Director of Branding and Communications at the Galeries Lafayette and the BHV MARAIS, as well as Director of Corporate Patronage within the Galeries Lafayette Group. He is the youngest son of Philippe Houzé, Chairman of the Group’s Board of Directors. After studying economics and English at the University of Paris X, Guillaume Houzé joined the family business as Deputy Director of Events Marketing in 2008, leading a disruptive event strategy focused on industrial creation and arts.
Guillaume Houzé is also Member of the Supervisory Committee of the Galeries Lafayette Group, President of Lafayette Anticipations – Fondation d’entreprise Galeries Lafayette, Vice-Chairman of Lafayette Anticipations – Fonds de Dotation Famille Moulin, President of the ANDAM, Board Member of Christie’s France, Member of Fonds pour Paris[, President of Committee for contemporary creation – Musée d’Art Moderne /Ville de Paris.
He was decorated as Chevalier des Arts et Lettres in 2013.
Guillaume Houzé has been instrumental in bringing contemporary art, creation and design to the Galeries Lafayette and the BHV MARAIS. Since 2009, the Galeries Lafayette Group has been an official sponsor of the FIAC contemporary art fair. Under Guillaume Houzé’s impulse, the Group is now a partner of ANDAM and the Festival international de mode et de photographie de la Villa Noailles à Hyères.
In 2013, he was nominated Director of Branding and Communications at the Galeries Lafayette and the BHV MARAIS. He has since cultivated new creative territories within the brand and bolstered the Group’s social and environmental strategy.
Guillaume Houzé founded Lafayette Anticipations in 2013. It is the first multidisciplinary centre of its kind in France and gives artists, designers and producers customised tools to create, experiment and showcase exclusive pieces.
As ANDAM’s President, Guillaume Houzé pursues Pierre Bergé’s mission : scouting emerging talents in the fashion industry and giving them the means to grow their brands.
Transforming the Galeries Lafayette through social corporate social responsibility, he launched Go for Good, a global movement for more sustainable fashion. This initiative expresses the long-term commitment of the Galeries Lafayette Group and its largescale ecological transition.
In 2019, Guillaume Houzé and his brother Nicolas opened the Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysées, a new store model. This innovative concept is based on a unique architecture designed by the Danish architect Bjarke Ingels and his company BIG, an inspiring and surprising product selection and a new exclusive sales model, amplified by digital innovations.
