Béatrice NÉRÉ

Head of Southern Europe - Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

As head of the foundation’s Southern Europe, G7 & G20 relations, Beatrice Nere supports the foundation’s mission, advises and represents Bill and Melinda in the region.

She is responsible for the foundation’s strategy and growing our partnerships with governments, private sector & civil society actors, as well as other development stakeholders in France, Italy and Spain. She works within the Global Policy and Advocacy division, is attached the foundation’s Europe and Middle East office, and is based in Paris.

Beatrice is a member of the Advisory Committee of TEDx Paris and its do-thank initiative “Boma”. Beatrice is also a guest lecturer for Master students at Sciences-Po and is regularly invited to contribute to think tank initiatives and publications, including the Expert Group of the Positive Economy Forum and l’ENA.

Beatrice is an advisory board member of IDDRI, a French institute for Sustainable Development and International relations.

Beatrice holds a double Master in European Politics and Governance from the London School of Economics and in European law and Institutions from La Sorbonne University.
