Suet-Fern Lee is a Director of Morgan Lewis Stamford LLC, a partner of Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP a leading global law firm, where she is a member of the board and the Chair of the firm’s International Leadership Team.

Her extensive professional work experience has been focused on mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital markets, and corporate finance. She has been involved in many significant corporate transactions in Singapore and the region. Suet-Fern has been named a leading practitioner in numerous global professional publications.

Over the past 20 years, she has served on the boards of public listed companies. Currently amongst others, she sits on the board of global healthcare company, Sanofi and one of the world’s largest independent financial advisory groups, Rothschild & Co. She also sits on the board of the World Justice Project, an independent multidisciplinary organization working to advance the rule of law around the world. She is a member of the Diversity Action Committee of Singapore Exchange Limited, a member of the executive committee of the Senate of the Singapore Academy of Law and a member of the Advisory Board to the Law School at Singapore Management University, where she also chairs the Expert Panel of Centre of Cross-Border Commercial Law in Asia. She is a former President of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association, an international association of business lawyers interested in the Asia- Pacific and the former chair of the Asian Civilisations Museum as well as the former chair of the Committee on Legal Education and Studies, Convergence of Transnational Commercial Laws Committee and the Legal Education Cluster of the Singapore Academy of Law. She was also a member of the Accounting Advisory Board at National University of Singapore.

She has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by Asian Legal Business in 2007, Chambers Asia-Pacific in 2016 (becoming the first ever woman recipient) and Euromoney’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017. Euromoney also honored her with its Asia Women Business Law Awards for mergers and acquisitions and private equity in 2012 and 2013 and Best Lawyers Mergers & Acquisitions named her Lawyer of the Year in those years. IFLR1000 has recognized Suet-Fern as one of IFLR1000 Women Leaders in 2018.

Suet Fern graduated with a double first in law from Cambridge University in 1980 (where she was a senior scholar at her college and won various book prizes). She qualified as a Barrister-at-Law at Gray’s Inn London in 1981 (where she also won the prize for International Trade). She was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 1982 winning the Memorial Prize for top candidates at the Singapore Bar examinations and the Prize for Professional Ethics.
