The International Crisis Group is an independent organisation providing field-based analysis and advice to policymakers and stakeholders on how to prevent, resolve or better manage deadly conflict. Crisis Group currently reports on 40 conflicts and vulnerable countries, and monitors another 30 with a staff of 110 people, based in global centres and field offices around the world
Prior to joining Crisis Group in 2017, Robert Malley had served as Special Assistant to President Obama, Senior Adviser for the Counter-ISIL Campaign and White House Coordinator for the Middle East, North Africa & the Gulf region. He also served as Special Assistant to President Clinton for Arab-Israeli affairs and Director for Near East and South Asian affairs at the National Security Council.
