Philippe MONLOUBOU
President of the Executive Committee - ENEDIS
Philippe Monloubou is the President of the Executive Committee of Enedis, the major French Electricity Distribution System Operator (36,000 employees, 35 million customers), since January 2014. He has also been appointed Chairman of the French Think Smartgrids association in October 2015.
Before its current position at Enedis he then spent 10 years within EDF Sales and Marketing division (12,000 people in France in charge of customer relationship with EDF 27 million customers in France) where he prepared and managed the deregulation of the French electricity market. In 2011, he was appointed EDF group Senior Vice President in charge of Sales and Marketing.
From 1996 to 2004, he held several senior management positions, up to Deputy Director, at EDF GDF Services in France, an EDF group division then in charge of both electric & gas distribution grids.
In 1993, he created EDF Group Buenos Aires office, representing EDF SOUTH AMERICA up to 1996.
Philippe Monloubou began his career in the EDF Group in 1979. From 1979 to 1993, within the distribution activity, he held operational responsibilities (technical, customer relationship and human resources).
Philippe Monloubou holds an Engineering degree from the Special School of Public Works (ESTP – 1977) and graduated from the Institute of Business Administration (IAE Rennes – 1980).
