Jean-Marc JANAILLAC

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer - AIR FRANCE-KLM

Professional Experience:  With a degree in Law (1976), and a graduate of the HEC Business School (1975) and ENA (1980), Jean-Marc Janaillac has been Chairman and CEO of Air France-KLM since 4 July 2016.

He served as chief of staff for the Prefects of Finistère (Brittany) and Val d’Oise (Greater Paris) region from 1980 to 1983, and subsequently as head of staff for the Secretary of State for Tourism from 1983 to 1984.

From 1984 to 1987, he served as general manager of the French Tourism Office for North America in New York, before taking over as general manager of the Maison de la France, in charge of promoting French tourism abroad, from 1987 to 1997.

He was a member of the Air France Board of Directors from 1989 to 1994.

Executive Vice President (1997-1999), and then Chief Operating Officer of AOM (1999), Jean-Marc Janaillac subsequently joined the MAEVA group where he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 2000 to 2002, before being appointed Chairman of the Paris Convention and Tourism Office from 2002 to 2004.

From November 2004 to November 2012, he was Managing Director Group Development for RATP and Chairman and CEO of RATP Dev.

Jean-Marc Janaillac was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TRANSDEV from December 2012 to June 2016, and held the position of Chairman of UTP (Union des Transports Publics et ferroviaires) from 2013 to 2015.

Jean-Marc Janaillac has been Chairman of the Air France Board of Directors since 3 November 2016.
